Bronze Anniversary!

Gareth and I have been married for 8 years today - where has that time gone??

We are going out tonight for a meal - just deciding which of the great Ribble Valley dining establishments to choose.....There's the Three Fishes at Mitton, The Ribchester Arms, Mitton Hall, The Parkers Arms, Newton in Bowland....the list is endless, and we are lucky to have so much choice.

Post Nuptial Depression

There is a teriffic article in the Daily Mail today, all about Post Nuptial Depression, which Gareth and I have long agreed is a definite condition.

The link to the article is here and a thoroughly interesting read!

Winter Wonderland

Well, for anyone following our car saga this morning here's the update! We managed in the end to get out onto the hilltops - just before it started raining.
Many thanks to the lovely Chloe for dashing out with us at short notice!

Well, doesn't it just show that you never know what's round the corner.

Minutes after I posted the free snow shoot offer for today Gareth rang me to say someone had crashed into him (because of the snow!) whilst he was taking Sam to school.

Thankfully no one is hurt, but it does mean that the car is now out of action and so I will need to spend the day sorting that out rather than taking photos.

So, apologies to those quick off the mark folks who emailed and we will take a rain-check on the shoot - or rather a snow-check!
The first person to email me today gets a free 'Trash The Dress' or Kiddy Photoshoot in the snow today.
Must be done this afternoon before the snow melts of course, and within a 5 mile radius of the studio, postcode BB6 7DD.
Good luck!

Dylan

I took some photos today of the most captivating little boy, Dylan. Just look at those blue eyes! I particularly liked his pumpkin outfit!

Louise and Danny's wedding

Louise looked stunning and Danny?? Well, he looked a bit stunned!! Only kidding - he looked the proudest man on earth as he married his gorgeous bride Louise.
The ceremony was held in the peaceful Church of St Bartholemew in Great Harwood, and the venue was one of my personal favourites, Mitton Hall.
There was everything - a casino, a caricaturist and a roast suckling pig!

Heather and Mike's Winning Wedding!

Heather and Mike married at Stanley House yesterday. It poured with rain, but it was still one of the brightest wedding days I have had the privilege to photograph.Heather is one feisty, special, beautiful lady. She oozed charm and glamour yesterday and Mike looked like he had won the lottery. Back in 2001, Heather sustained over 70% burns in a house fire. She was critically ill for months and has endured countless operations since. She has overcome what many wouldn't and was a worthy winner of Studio 25 and The Trafford Centre's Win Your Wedding competition last year. This wedding has been months in the planning and it was just an amazing day from start to finish. Here are just a few moments from Heather and Mike's Big Day. Well done guys, you were wonderful.

It is very nice to be thanked!!!

Dear Debbie & Gareth,

If anybody is looking for a wedding photographer – they would be VERY foolish not to choose you! You were fantastic on the day and have continued to be up until receipt of our fabulous album.
We were drawn to you because of the fact you offered Graphistudio. However, after meeting you, the fact that you offered Graphistudio was just a bonus. Your attention to detail and passion for your work during our engagement shoot made us instantly realise we had made the right choice in wedding photographer; and on our big day, you were nothing short of amazing.
We received our Graphistudio package today and wow – just WOW! We are absolutely thrilled; it’s simply a Debbie Hardy masterpiece! We expected nothing less after seeing the PDF file you produced for us. You have a great talent and that is expressed throughout our album. We now have THE best reminder of THE best day of our lives.
Heartfelt thanks to you both for contributing towards making our wedding day perfect.

Kindest regards and best wishes – Jen & Paul xx

Competition
Enter the Studio 25 competition:
Think up a new name for our "Trash The Dress" product , and win a Trash The Dress or a studio shoot and 16" x 12" framed photo worth a total of £220!Trash The Dress is a very American term- our market research shows that we're missing out on a lot of customers because they don't want their dress damaged. The worst that will happen is it will get wet, sandy or muddy - which is why the ideal time to have a shoot is after your wedding but before you get your dress cleaned. We're offering either a newly-renamed Trash The Dress or a photoshoot and framed image combination to the person who comes up with the best name describing the product.Conditions:
Entries must be submitted by 31 October 2008, with the winner being notified by email on 1 November 2008
Winner must redeem their prize by 14 November 2008 in order to receive their print in time for Christmas, or redeem their prize by 1 April 2009 in any event.
Suggestions only accepted via email or using the "contact us" page on this website
Proof of sending is not proof of receipt
Where two or more people send the same suggestion, only the first to be received is deemed to be a valid entry
No cash alternative is offered
Prize is transferable

Laura and Roy married at Eaves Hall in West Bradford, Clitheroe. They were blessed with the most beautiful day, and I like to think someone special was looking down with love and joy.
The day was full of fun, frolics and fireworks!!

Kaye and Jonathan

Kaye and Jonathan had their perfect day at Eaves Hall in West Bradford. It is a beautiful location - one of my personal favourites - and a perfect wedding venue.

Their wedding was both stylish and fun, with some great touches - like the date of the wedding embroidered in the suits!

Here are just a few images from their big day.
